Alfil wants to create a figure in which the empty spaces play as much as the elements that make the table. Because of this, Alfil is formed by different parallel placed planes which barely coincide with each other. From this idea the two surfaces of the board are created, leaving a big space between them, as well as the union between the board and the legs. The legs, made of rods, follow the same concept.
Added to this concept is the intention to work with the details within a light and simple figure, making the stepped edge on the board and fitting of the legs onto it.
